This is from the 6th lecture (out of 10, “Contemporary Islamic Law” graduate course). After we build the Quranic objectives/maqasid and concepts/mafaheem web, how can we realize them in today’s reality on all levels and in all fields of knowledge and action? The answer has to do with the role of the Arabic language as the language of the Islamic identity, and the measures required for Muslims to fight back the “war on concepts and objectives” that the Islamic thought is facing, and the ways to reconstruct the Islamic culture based on the Quranic meanings.
